Today, Steven Erlanger in the New York Times reported about traps and tricks used by Israel and Hamas in the current war over Gaza.  See Gaza War is Full of Traps and Trickery By Both Hamas and Israel (1/11/09).  What is remarkable are  the “traps and tricks” employed by Hamas:

“[W]ith training from Iran and Hezbollah . . . weapons are hidden in mosques, schoolyards and civilian houses, and the leadership’s war room is a bunker beneath Gaza’s largest hospital, Israeli intelligence officials say . . . . Hamas militants are fighting in civilian clothes . . . . [Hamas] asking civilians to stand on the roofs of buildings so Israeli pilots will not bomb.”

See also my Post, U.N. Aids and Abets Palestinian and Hezbollah Terrorists (1/7/09).  It goes without saying how disgusting Hamas’ tactics are, which really are meant to do nothing more than augment civilian casualties for its own selfish ends.  The blood of these civilians, both Palestinian and Israeli, rests on Hamas’ hands.
