Is Obama Abandoning Israel Regarding the Iranian Bomb?

By MJK | May 24, 2009

Your email:

According to Dick Morris, he is.  Morris writes that a report is out ”that CIA chief Leon Panetta, who recently took time out from his day job (feuding with Nancy Pelosi) to travel to Israel ‘read the riot act’ to the government warning against an attack on Iran.”  If this is true, then Obama is surely throwing Israel to the wolves.

Please read Morris’ article: The Death of Israel (5/24/09).

War on the CIA

By MJK | May 21, 2009

Your email:

We can thank our politicians, most notably the democrats being led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, for trying to wreck the CIA and endanger our lives.  For a good article pertaining to this fiasco, I recommend reading Democrats’ Assault On the CIA by Michael Gerson (Washington Post, 5/20/09).

I wonder: if by these acts American lives are lost, will those politicians responsible take the blame?  I doubt it!

It’s About the Banks, Stupid!

By MJK | May 11, 2009

Your email:

The bank “stress tests” have accomplished something that was long overdue — it gave the markets an excuse to believe that the banks will be saved by the government, without full nationalization.  As a result, it has given the banks a green light to start lending again. Obama’s Overexposure

By MJK | May 6, 2009

Your email:

Obama is clearly a talented and charismatic figure.  His speeches, regardless of the content, inspires many and works as an effective pulpit for Obama to make his point.  I have noticed though, especially as I have the news on all day for work, that Obama is speaking in formal settings (this includes “town meetings” practically everyday).

In my opinion, Obama risks his effectiveness by being overexposed.  Already, in his recent prime-time televised press conference, viewership was down and many analysts, including Obama supporters, thought that it was boring.

The Sheepishly Gassy Answer to Global Warming?

By MJK | March 5, 2009

Your email:

Could it be?  Is the major contributor to global warming caused by sheep gas?  I mean if it’s true, what can we say about all those cars that release tons of pollutants into the air?  W0w!

Well the New Zealanders, those pesky sheep herders causing havoc in the bottom of the world believe so, and even the wise United Nations agrees.  Anyhow, you can read all about it here!  Silencing the Lambs: Scientists Target Sheep Belching to Cut Methane (Wall Street Journal, 2/26/09).

Newt Gingrich, the Next U.S. President?

By MJK | March 4, 2009

Your email:

If Obama fails as President, I believe that the conservative movement of the Republican party will take the Presidency in 2012.  Leading them, is former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich.  Buzz has it that Newt is preparing for a run in the event Obama crashes and burns.  He is clearly a talented conservative thinker, but as a politician had a mixed performance.  Either way, he sure would make an interesting, if divisive and highly controversial, President (note that I am not endorsing Newt for this office).  I strongly recommend this recent article / profile on Newt: The Anti-Obama? (New York Times Magazine, 3/1/09).

When George W. Bush was reelected in 2004, the warnings came out: if Bush fails, Hillary Clinton will become the next President.  Well those doomsayers were right, except that we have Obama instead of Hillary!  Regardless, the question is now on the shoulders of Democrats and liberals: do they rein in Obama’s liberal agenda in order to stave off the risk of spectacular failure and the resulting ascendancy of the conservative movement?  I doubt they perceive it yet in these terms, but they may want to soon start to.

Funny Dilbert Cartoon – Congress is Full of Hypocrisy

By MJK | March 1, 2009

Your email:

This comes from Brian, which says it all regarding our politicians, along with our failed business leaders.  I propose furloughing Congress, that would save $30 million+ for the remaining year.  It would really save so much more, so they could stop spending this country into ruin.
